1. 电脑最好带去，但要注意英国是250V的电压。英国的电脑比较贵，便宜的大多是印巴人的产品，不可靠。
2. 要是喜欢吃米饭，自己带上个小电饭锅比较方便。英国买不到这东西，有些类似做炸食品的电锅却很便宜，到处都是。
3. 英中双译的电子字典是必备之物。
4. 衣服少带，可以带T恤（4，5件），牛仔裤（2，3条），羊绒毛衣（2，3件），一件羊绒大衣及冬夏两套西装，其他到当地再买。做学生的可以穿简单些，化不了多少钱。你若个子不是很高，可以光顾kids的服装店，因为可以免去17%的消费税。虽然中国的东西便宜，但毕竟sense不同，带去的衣服大多不入流。不过，可以在中途回国时疯狂购买，那时你会知道该买什么。第一次去，简单为好。可以带些工具书，因为很难买到中文书。
5. 在大使馆拿到的visa为entry visa，能在英国呆多久,要看入关时officer给你的期限。同是student，有些人是半年，有些人是3年，这完全取决于他个人对你的判断。所以，在回答officer的提问时，要简短扼要，注意不要没话找话，牢记言多必语失的格言。
