从今年新近状况来看，如果没有做好充分准备打好基础，来Berlage是比较麻烦的......楼上在我看来是不错的。但是也有一些同学对这里所谈论的东西完全不知所措，present的时候也是不知所云......所以，在这里提一些建议给经过仔细思考以后还是打算来这里的朋友们。

第一是英文基础，要看的不是你的英文成绩，当然6.5的雅思是必须的，但更重要的是你的英文不只是读写的水平，而是流畅的听说能力。

第二是设计基础，这个更多体现在作品集中，你能做什么？能做多深入？做得多有意思？如果说学校对于作品的偏好的话，一定不是那种商业气息浓厚的“项目”和效果图，他们更注重你的出发点（出发点是什么？为什么从这里出发？如何出发？），你的思考过程（逻辑上是怎样的一个过程？用什么样的手段去表达？特别是diagram的表达），你的设计是怎么反应你的思考的？（这里或许才会牵扯到一些设计手法和表达手法）

第三是理论基础，这个理论不是哲学范畴的，而是建筑范畴内的，包括建筑史和城市史，特别是城市发展方面的理论。因为是基础，所以不需要是很深入的各家各派的理论都混读一通（当然有时间能读完是十分不错的），国内本科教材是远远不够的，那只是对一些名品的描述，没有一个理论体系。这方面推荐一本书刘易斯芒福德的《The City in History》（城市发展史），国内有这本经典著作的译本。

第四是思维基础，我们倾向于谈论当今的建筑大环境，这个环境不仅仅是地图上的那一块基地，而是这块基地所处地区的社会状况，政治状况，经济状况，还有环境状况。研究这些状况可能对当下及今后产生的影响，而这些影响是如何在你所做的建筑中得到表达和反映的？所以需要有敏锐且开阔的视角，不能只把目光集中在如何在那块地上把建筑做“漂亮”。

第五是思想基础，在Berlage谈到很多哲学上的东西，总体来说是比较偏向于左派的（但是不能说它就是左派，因为做的很多也是大资阶级状况下的产物，这个需要因项目而定，但就思想领域而言是偏左的），最常提到的人物包括卡尔马克思，米歇尔福柯和大卫哈维。所以建议来之前可以读一读他们的理论介绍，直接读他们的著作有点勉为其难了（其实本人也是后来才开始读的），大概知道他们这些人物有些什么观点，然后依照这些观点反思一下当今社会及当代建筑，那就是很不错的了。

第六是信息基础，这一点说不重要也不重要，说重要还是比较重要的。就是得知道当今活跃的建筑师和他们的作品，他们的基本理念等等。因为这里经常会有这些建筑师出没，他或她可能是你的导师，也有可能是你masterclass的tutor，也有可能是讲座上得lecturer，还有可能是你的critic。所以千万不要在提到你导师名字的时候说“啊？他是谁？”......起码之前也google一下吧=。=
当然也不说每一个建筑师都得知道认识，只是觉得起码比较活跃的那一些应该知道吧？

第七是最重要的一点，就是热忱！对建筑的热忱！对城市的热忱！对生活和未来的热忱！只有这种热忱才可以支持你就算废寝忘食也要认真继续。很多人问过Berlage的生活规律，说实话，真的是很恼火，不忙的少数时候是10点左右回家，最常见的平常状态（不是忙也不闲的时候）是12点到1点回家，忙的时候经常是3点到4点，最忙的时候就不用回去了。所以有认为这里因为不用考试会比较轻松的话，就错......楼上应该深有体会了吧？哈哈~~

不管你是否来Berlage，热忱，都是最重要的！
