表皮的历史视野    [浏览全文] 冯 路
摘 要:在建筑学中,建筑表皮是个不断转换的概念。建筑表皮的认识轮廓就在不断转换的概念中得以形成,而建筑表皮的定义就在这些转换过程中所显现的差异和相似中得以明晰。对于建筑表皮的历史视野,本文着重于自20世纪初现代主义至当代西方建筑学之间表皮状况的重要转换,并以此作为文章主要结构,依照三个相互独立而又相互关联的相关历史状况来展开论述。这三个历史状况分别为表皮独立,表皮自治和表皮事件。

Abstract: In architecture, the term of architectural surface is not a stiff idea, but rather a dynamic notion in which different status follow mutative context. Therefore, the conception of architectural surface could be defined by those shifts of its notions leading to difference. As the historical horizon of the architectural surface, this essay would focus on three significant shifts within the period from early modernism to contemporary architecture, and be organized following the main structure with the terms of liberation of surface, autonomy of surface and events of surface.

表皮的透明性--对斯坦因别墅的另一种解读

摘 要:考察"表皮的透明性"这一论题的有效性是本文的起点。为此,文章主要参考了柯林·罗的"透明性"这一概念,并对其提出质疑,建议以"普遍性"取而代之。基于"普遍性"这一概念,本文针对柯林·罗的《透明性》一文中提到的斯坦因住宅作了限于表皮的分析,进而指出当以"表面的普遍性"取代"表皮的普遍性",并最终回到一个更为简单明了的概念--建筑。

Abstract: Examining the validity of the theme "Transparency of Skin", is the start point of this article. Then it throws doubt on Colin Rowe's concept: Transparency, which is the main reference of this article, and suggests to replace the concept by a more precise concept: Universality. Based on universality, there is an analysis limited to the skin of Villa Stein, which is notably mentioned in Rowe's essays: Transparency. However, this article argues that the concept "universality of skin" should be replaced by "universality of surface", and finally reverts to a simpler concept: Architecture.

表皮作为方法--从四维分解到四维连续 刘涤宇
摘 要:现代主义运动以来建筑表皮在获得了独立的意义的同时失去了自足的完形特征。但也正因如此,表皮可以作为形成建筑体块和建筑空间组合形态的方法而存在。本文从表皮作为方法的角度探讨20世纪初以风格派和密斯·凡·德·罗等建筑师为代表的四维分解法和从20世纪后期至今以雷姆·库哈斯等当代建筑师为代表的四维连续法。分析了这两种方法的建筑表皮意义、所创造的空间的特征,以及两种方法的区别和联系。

Abstract: Modernism made building surface independent while it did not justify itself any longer, so building surface can be deemed to methods to form mass or space of architecture. From this point of surface as methord, this article studies the method of 4-dimention decompounds used by De Style and Mies van der Rohe in early 20 century and the methord of 4-dimention continuum used by Rem Koolhaas and others from late 20 century. This article analyses two method's meaning of building surface, space's character they formed, and compares each other.

拟表--空间现象与策略设计 鲁安东
摘 要:本文试图从空间的角度对策略设计提供新的理解。"表皮"是策略设计的一种操作性媒介;而空间则是策略设计和复杂城市条件以及发展中的公共领域之间的媒介。在当代多样的城市和建筑空间中,存在一种拟表现象。"拟表"现象带有即时、平滑和事件的特点,它以主体为中心,以行动来驱动。通过合适的策略设计,这种现象可以对城市环境和公共生活发挥积极作用。本文重点讨论了拟表现象和策略设计的关系,并对拟表空间的特点进行了归纳。

Abstract: This paper tries to formulate new understanding to strategy design from the perspective of space. 'Surface' is an organizational medium to strategy design; while space is the medium between strategy design and complex urban conditions and a developing public sphere. There exists in the various urban and architectural spaces a phenomenon of mimic-surface. The mimic-surface is characterized by temporality, smoothness and events; it is subject-centred and action-driven. With appropriate strategy design, this phenomenon will have an active role in urban environments and public lives. This paper focuses on the relationship between the mimic-surface phenomenon and strategy design, and concludes with the attributes of the spaces affected by this phenomenon.

关注建筑表皮
--托马斯·赫佐格与赫佐格·德穆隆的建筑表皮设计手法之比较

摘 要:建筑表皮是近年在建筑界关注的热点,而托马斯·赫佐格以及赫佐格&德穆隆是在这个方面很活跃的世界级建筑师。文章试从建筑表皮设计的角度出发对他们的设计手法进行比较分析。尽管他们设计的出发点,材料的运用,以及对建筑艺术与技术侧重的不同,造就了他们设计手法的差异。但他们都设计出了优秀的作品,实现了技术与艺术完美的结合。

Abstract: Nowadays, the surface of architecture is a widely discussed topic which is paid a lot of attention in the field of architecture. And Thomas Herzog and Herzog& De Meuron who are well known around the world are very active in the field of design. The paper tries to contrast and analyze the design skill between theirs through the angle of architectural surface design. It that their basic idea, the application of the materials and the emphasis on the technology or art are different leads to the difference of their design skills. However, both of them can create the wonderful projects, which can combine the technology and artist together perfectly.

摘 要:建筑(学)的发展基于对自身一些基本问题的不断质疑,如何定位和建立被我们称为的"建筑"的知识领域和范围?建筑师与建筑设计是什么样的关系?一个建筑的结果是如何产生或生成的?建筑空间和使用者之间的关系是怎样的?通过分析FOA(Foreign Office Architects)横滨港国际客运码头中标方案的图纸和其作品的展览,本文希望探讨当今建筑实践中两个方面的议题--建筑师与建筑设计之间的关系和空间经验中主体与客体的关系。

Abstract: The development of architecture is based on continuously questioning, such as how to identify and (re)construct the discipline of architecture that we have been told; how to identify architectural design in terms of architects creation; how to approach an architectural consequence or to generate a building, etc.? Particularly looking at FOA's drawings for the competition of the Yokohama International Port Terminal and FOA's exhibition at the ICA in London, this essay tries to address two issues-the relationship between architect and architectural design and the relationship between subject and object in terms of spatial experience in architectural practice today.

私人身体的公共边界    [浏览全文]
——由非常建筑谈表皮理论的中国接受情境

摘 要:本文不打算对“表皮”这一理论现象作面面俱到的梳理与分析,而侧重于讨论表皮理论在中国建筑实践的上下文里所可能产生的意义,除了关注理论自身的渊源与其文化逻辑,本文更感兴趣的是,当表皮理论所倚重的西方社会和文化情境在中国不可避免地变质之后,是否可以仅仅在技术层面上讨论和运用表皮理论,这样做又会有什么样的后果?本文的讨论将围绕表皮理论的一个主要关键词,即(社会性的)“身体”而开展。从建筑师对建筑设计中的公众/私人领域关系的经营之道,我们可以看到不仅仅是新的建筑理念冲击着社会生活的空间组织形式,这种理念自身也不可避免地受到既有的社会生活空间组织形式的掣肘。

Abstract: This essay aims at no encyclopedic discussion on the surface theory. Instead, it is concerned with the interpretation of the theory in the context of contemporary Chinese practice. While most Chinese architects tend to neglect the social and cultural circumstance in which the Western theories were developed, will the discussion of a generic and timeless concept of the "skin" be able to make enough sense to its Chinese "body"? And what if we examine the surface theory in a pure "technical" sense? The discussion is organized around the key concept "body," leading us towards a sociologic understanding of the unique Chinese situation. In this situation, elite architects reluctantly deal with the inevitable confronting of the public and the private territories in their design by dissolving the surface issue in the rhetoric of "interfacing."

     《形式表达--建筑设计中图解的原-功能潜力》

摘 要:本文着重分析并评述了美国建筑师格雷格·林恩所写的题为《形式表达--建筑设计中图解的原-功能潜力》的文章。在林恩的这篇文章中,分析了荷兰建筑师本·凡·伯克尔的作品,并借此阐述了自己对图解的理解和认识。在林恩看来,抽象图解是伯克尔思考和分析设计中的模糊特性的工具。图解既不是意指性陈述,也不是再现。

Abstract: I tried to analyze and review the essay "Forms of Expression" by Greg Lynn. In this essay, Lynn explained Ben van Bercal' work, and defined "diagrams". In Lynn's view, Van Bercal looked to vague essences in architectural design through abstract diagrams. In Van Bercal's work, diagrams are not signifying statements and not representations.

分离与整合——当代建筑表皮的一种辩证演进 应珺
摘 要:建筑表皮是承担建筑外部围护界面的物质系统。自建筑产生以来,表皮始终是建筑设计中不可避免的基本问题之一。它不仅能为人类提供庇护,而且具有重要的文化意义,并在当今信息社会中受到越来越多的重视。多层表皮在如今面临的能源危机、技术发展、美学观念变迁以及人性复归哲学思潮这些时代背景中找到了发展契机,由此逐步受到建筑界的广泛重视。尽管建筑的多层表皮至今仍处于探索阶段,并受到很多争议,但无疑从某一方面反映着这个时代的特征,并基于可持续发展战略的低能耗概念对环境问题做出了自己的回答。

摘 要:本文从介绍自由曲面建筑的历史,电脑辅助几何设计中NURB的发展和表皮的技术特性出发,探讨自由曲面这种表皮形式在建筑设计中的作用和其应用的几何分析和建筑技术。

表皮的"临时性"演绎
--解读伊东丰雄的"透层化建筑"理念

摘 要:建筑是临时的存在[2] --这话不是出自一个搭建临时工棚的工人之口,而是出自一个热衷于从东方哲学、流行时尚和虚拟现实中寻找灵感的日本建筑家之口。通过"临时性"的演绎,伊东丰雄在文化的层面上颠覆了建筑固有的凝固性和恒定性,令表皮拥有了海市蜃楼般的虚幻性、令空间拥有了瞬息万变的高度灵活性,令建筑拥有了在矛盾中寻求共鸣的错综复杂的多重性。而"建筑的透层化",则令表皮取代空间而成为建筑的主体,其背后的理念,交织着现代/后现代思潮、传统日本的浮世观、以及对消费时代和后都市的反思。

Abstract: "Ephemera" is one of the key characters of Toyo Ito's architecture, which is sometime misinterpreted to be some sorts of "low-cost temporary buildings". As a matter of fact, Toyo Ito's "ephemeral architecture" contains a pattern of multiple pluralities weaving the multiple versions of "the World", e.g. Japanese traditional "floating world", an ephemeral field for open text, as well as the electronic virtual reality. Whilst creating a blurring and transparent surface, Toyo Ito is seeking a subversive architecture, which is fictional and illusive, but no longer eternal or frozen.
